Base Excavation
This procedure starts by digging down to the base of the home. In an attempt to maintain the base, the foundation-level must be reached by the excavation so the drainage may be analyzed as well as the status of the supporting ground can be assessed. The foundation is inspected, and should be prepped and cleaned so that any materials that are loose can be removed prior to additional work. This is the stage where weeping tile can be inspected to determine if it is good condition – is it able to properly drain water away from the house? Or is the weeping tile damaged, allowing runoff water to pool and possibly penetrate the foundation of the house.
Parge & Repair
